| Mobtown's 11th Season for 2008-2009.
Well, we got off to a
late start this year, but things are coming around. We kick the
year off with Drop Three and our old friends Theater for Rent.
But then we go on for an election year play, with Mark
Squirek helming Gore Vidal's The Best Man. In the
Spring, thoughts turn to Spring
Awakening, not the musical, but Jonathan Franzen's
translation of Frank Wedekind's original 1891 play about budding
sexual maturity. And how aboout some April and May showers with
Three Days of Rain, to be directed by Caitlin Bouxsein,
but then Terry Long comes back in June.
We're cancelling
Paris Letter for this year, but we have something
else lined up! Expect an announcement shortly!
But we're also expecting to do a couple of smaller runs. Mark
Squirek is working on birthing the Mobtown Playwrights Group,
and we have a couple of other things in the works, including
some movies, readings, and a small holiday to-do.
